The apostle Paul wrote in his letters to the Romans that Jesus "was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness: Jesus Christ our Lord". (Romans 1:4). Jesus claimed that He would raise Himself up three days after being put to death (John 2:18-22). The truth of everything Jesus Christ claimed about Himself hinges on whether or not He actually was raised from the dead after being crucified. Most of us would have to agree that if this claim is true, all the others must be true also. What if, in our present day, someone were to take a stand on issues, be sentenced to death and executed for his stand, and then three days later rise from the dead? If this event were as well documented as Christ's'resurrection, it would be an event that would shake our world. Jesus' life, death and resurrection had that same impact on the generation of His day.

Both the Bible and other historical sources testify that His body turned up missing that first Easter Sunday. But what else might have happened to the body of Jesus Christ?
